Nicolet College and the Family and Child Learning Centers of N.E.W. or head start are expected to announce a partnership to serve children in the Northwoods and students in Nicolet’s Early Childhood Program.

Under the service agreement, Family and Child Learning Centers will offer Head Start at the current Child Care Center location. They will accept up to 18 3-5 year old from families that meet eligibility requirements.

Students in Nicolet’s Early Childhood Education program will use the facility for practicum training which is required to earn a degree.

Nicolet President Elizabeth Burmaster and Family and Child Learning Center executive director Carol Jackomino made that announcement at a news conference this morning.
