The Main Street Memories Car Show concluded another successful Memorial Day Weekend event.
The main attraction of the event is, of course, the car show, and we have some of the overall winners. Winner of the Mayor’s Choice, selected by Mayor Bob Lee was the 1976 Ford Thunderbird owned by Kyle Zinter of Merrill. The People selected Bill Skees of Tomahawk for his 1964 GTO convertible. The best in show was awarded to Mel Martwitz of Minocqua for a 1938 Chev Panel Truck.
Others receiving awards include the Central Wisconsin Road Knights for Club Participation. Seth Rhode was the youngest participant at 19 years old and John Hausch was the oldest. At 82, he was a few years younger than his 1923 Ford Model A.
