Tomahawk Police Department Reports

An Illinois man, reported that his summer residence on Bowen Rd. in Tomahawk was broken into. The suspect possibly entered through the window, and the man reported liquor missing from the home. An officer spoke with people in the area and is investigating the theft.

An officer responded to a dispute on West Leather Avenue Friday evening. The dispute was said to be verbal only. As a result, a 31 year old female was taken into custody for bail jumping and transferred to the Lincoln County Jail. A 54 year old male was taken in for Domestic Disorderly Conduct, had bond posted, and was eventually released.

A person reported an vehicle tearing up his driveway and the vehicle was then parked at the time of the call. An officer spoke with the 21 year old male suspect who was asked to perform a standard field sobriety test. As a result he was cited for operating while intoxicated 2nd offense. He was then transported to the hospital.

There was a verbal dispute at a Tomahawk address between a 30 year old male and 26 year old female. The male was bleeding but refused medical attention. The injury was caused by an item the injured party threw on the floor. The other had a warrant through the Oneida County Sheriff’s office and was taken into custody.

The department issued 4 safety belt violations, plus a handful of warnings for equipment violations and ATV violations. Overall the department said it was a relatively quiet weekend, considering the large amount of people in town.
