Speaker at Nicolet College

Nicolet College will welcome a speaker today and this evening, that discovered his life wasn’t what he thought.

Michael Sidney Fosberg turned his real-life story into a solo theater performance entitled Incognito which he will present at Nicolet.

In the description, Fosberg says he grew up in a working-class Chicago neighborhood believing he was white. His parent’s divorce proceedings when he was in his 30′s led him to seek out his biological father who revealed he was black.

Incognito delves into the issues of race, diversity, family history, divorce, adoption, and the search for a father. The performance has been praised by educators, critics and audiences alike.

Theatre Director Jim Nuttall said the originally booked Fosberg as a daytime performance for students. They later decided to add an evening show for the public.
