A LaCrosse man facing charges in Marathon County related to a woman’s death had his court appearance delayed.
Tyler Deal was set to appear in court yesterday for a preliminary hearing. He is facing felony charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and homicide by vehicle with PAC(prohibited alcohol content), plus two misdemeanors.
One of the witnesses scheduled to appear yesterday did not appear. She was subpoenaed early this month. Officials will attempt to locate her and reschedule the preliminary hearing.
Deal was driving a vehicle that struck a utility pole back in February. The criminal complaint says that the 21 year old allegedly had alcohol and marijuana in his system. 20 year old Paige Metz died in that accident.
The next appearance scheduled in this case will be October 9.
