One of the three suspects being charged in a Social Security Check fraud scheme has had another charge following an incident at the jail.
Ronald Disher was arrested earlier this month with four felonies and taken to the Portage County Jail. There, corrections officers say, the 61 year old punched another inmate.
Now according to online court records, he has been charged with battery by a prisoner, which is a felony. The prosecutor says the charge will be handled separately from the initial charges.
Disher, his wife and his brother-in-law were all arrested, accused of cashing Marie Jost’s social security checks over a possibly 30 year period. They are each facing charges of Mail Fraud, Theft using false representation, forgery, and unauthorized use of an individual’s personal documents.
