In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Ministry Sacred Heart and Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospitals will be offering free screenings to qualifying women in the area.
Monica Hilt, president of Ministry Sacred Heart and Ministry Saint Marys Hospitals says, “Access to mammography services is critical, as it is the best way to detect breast cancer in its earliest stages.”
Beginning today and running throughout the month of October, the Ministry Hospitals are offering the mammogram screenings to women 40 and older residing in the primary service area. To qualify the woman must not have had a mammogram in the previous 12 months due to a lack of financial resources or insurance.
They say a mammogram can save your life as it is the best way to detect the cancer early. Please call 715-361-2120 to discuss eligibility and schedule an appointment for the free screen.
