A former medical examiner in Oneida and Forest Counties appeared via video conferencing in court yesterday.
Traci England is already facing charges of misconduct in office and theft after being accused of allegedly taking human remains to train a cadaver dog.
At yesterday’s hearing, the assistant district attorney says they are looking into two more cases where crimes may have been committed. One accused her of distributing cremains to other dog handlers. They have now added 2 more charges of misconduct in office and theft to the original charges.
Oneida County Judge Patrick O’Melia approved a $2,500 signature bond. Preliminary hearings have been scheduled for each of the new cases December 7.
