Wausau area firefighters fought a blaze late into the night at an apartment complex.
Crews were called to the Tamarack Heights Apartments at around 11 last night. The firefighters were on the scene for more than 4 hours battling the flames. Crews say the building is a complete loss.
It appears as though a portion of the roof did collapse. Local community service groups are arranging temporary shelter for renters who don’t have anywhere else to stay.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries reported.
