The leader of Wisconsin Schools will be visiting a pair of schools in the Merrill district today.
State superintendent Tony Evers will visit both Washington Elementary and Merrill High School.
Don Stevens, the interim superintendent of the Merrill Area Public Schools says, “We are thrilled to welcome State Superintendent Evers to our district, and our staff and students are looking forward to sharing some of the innovative and exciting things happening in our schools.”
Evers will take part in Washington Elementary’s positive behavioral intervention and supports program celebration. Washington Elementary implemented the school wide program providing staff with a decision-making framework for improving school outcomes.
Evers will then head to the high school where he will visit classrooms and meet with staff and students engaged in 21st century learning.
