Officers will continue to investigate a fraud and theft case. A Tomahawk woman says while at an area business, her wallet which included an ATM card, fell out of her purse. The following day she discovered her accounts were withdrawn 6 times for more than $1,300. The parties are working with the bank to view security footage from the camera on the ATM.
On Tuesday on person called after hearing a loud crash and it appeared as though a vehicle hit a tree near South Tomahawk Avenue. The driver of the vehicle then continued on. When officers contacted the man at a residence he said he did leave the scene but was going to contact the department.
Early Wednesday morning a vehicle was observed at an area bar. The driver of the vehicle was wanted for theft in Lincoln County. The 46 year old woman was taken into custody.
While conducting a case follow-up an officer discovered that a 36 year old woman had an active warrant through Langlade County. The woman was taken into custody and transferred to the jail. Bond was posted and she was released.
