A new airline will officially be taking off from Rhinelander starting early next year.
SkyWest Airlines had previously announced that they would be servicing Northern Wisconsin, replacing Frontier Airlines. Skywest has now announced two daily flights from Rhinelander to Minneapolis-St. Paul beginning January 4.
The flights will be on a 50 person passenger plane.
Mike Thompson, SkyWest Airlines vice president of Market Development says, “We are excited to bring Rhinelander travelers SkyWest’s trademark quality and reliability as we connect them to Delta’s global network.”
The Delta Connection also serves Wausau, Escanaba, Green Bay and Appleton in the area, with hubs in Minneapolis and Salt Lake City.
Skywest, headquartered in St. George, Utah, has a fleet of 321 aircrafts going to 161 destinations throughout North America. Tickets available out of Rhinelander can be booked through Delta Airlines.
