City of Tomahawk Police Department Reports

26 Oct News

A woman’s power of attorney notified police that 2 checks had been written out with a forged signature. The suspect was formerly the victim’s power of attorney. They did not want anything done at the time, and that particular account has since been closed.

Officers responded to a single car accident on North 4th Street. The teen driver said she had to swerve and struck the pole. She was uninjured. Officers contacted the street department to disconnect the power and work on repairs.

A Mosinee man had trouble with his vehicle earlier in the week in the Tomahawk area and required a taxi home. Later he noticed his cell phone and handgun were missing from the back seat of the vehicle. The victim will be following up with an official statement and the serial numbers from the items missing.

A man reported several people were waiting outside a residence planning on “jumping he and his girlfriend.” The man was waiting inside. Police spoke with the suspect, who explained that she was there to get a vehicle from the reporting party that was registered in her name. The officer explained that since she originally gave permission it was a civil matter. The parties involved were advised to avoid each other.
