Halloween will be celebrated in Downtown Tomahawk on Saturday, October 27 from 11AM to 4PM with free events, beginning with a free matinee at Tomahawk Cinema and a “Ghoulish Lanes” themed event at Striker’s Bowl. Last year, Tomahawk Main Street offered only one free matinee and the event was “sold out” one hour prior. This year they will air the Pixar movie Brave at 11 and again at 2
Tomahawk Main Street Executive Director Liz Milender says, “The attendance over the last two years has more than doubled, establishing Downtown Tomahawk as THE venue to celebrate Halloween.” Photos from last year’s event can be seen on facebook.com/tomahawkmainstreet or at tomahawkmainstreet.com.
Most downtown businesses participate in the trick-or-treating event and some offer additional in-store activities. Among the activities are food deals, a Halloween Pet Costume Contest, Pumpkin Decorating and Carving.
Trick-or-Treating Downtown takes place from 2PM to 4PM,coinciding with the City of Tomahawk’s trick-or-treating from 2PM to 5PM. Members of the Tomahawk Leo’s, a youth organization of the Tomahawk Lions Club, will be trick-or-treating for eyeglasses Saturday.
