Today is the last day for those in Wisconsin who want to vote prior to election day.
In-person absentee voting in the clerk’s office runs through 5 pm or the close of business day, whichever is later. According to the government accountability board, some clerks are offering extended hours to handle demand. Voters should check their municipal clerk’s office hours.
The early voting period, which began October 22, has once again been popular among Wisconsin voters. As of Wednesday, more than 400,000 voters had requested absentee ballots, including 250,000 in person requests.
After today, the final chance to vote will be election day, next Tuesday. Early voting in the city of Tomahawk is at City Hall, while election day voting will be held at SARA Park on Tuesday.
The Government Accountability Board website contains much more information on the election and voting.
