While the national and state races got a majority of the media coverage the past few months, there were also local races contested in the area.
Lincoln County District Attorney Don Dunphy defeated a challenge from Sid Brubacher by more than 2,200 votes out of nearly 15,000 cast. Chris Marlowe won the County Clerk position with 80 percent of the vote. Incumbant Sheila Pudelko ran a write-in campaign after being defeated in the primary.
Jan Lemmer won the County Treasurer race and Sarah Koss won the Register of Deeds position. Each ran unopposed.
The township of Bradley clerk appointment passed 862-580.
In Oneida County, Michael Schiek won their District attorney’s race with 54% of the vote. He was running against Scott Moller. Finally in Oneida County Mary Bartelt,County Clerk; Kris Ostermann,Treasurer; and Kyle Franson, Register of Deeds; all ran unopposed and won with just a smattering of write-in votes.
