One person has died and another injured following an accident in Marathon County yesterday.

The crash happened at around 5:30 along Highway 52 in Hewitt, near Sunrise Road. Initial reports indicate that a pick up truck collided with a car in the Township located in the north eastern portion of Marathon County.

No names were released and further details are expected later today. An investigation including a crash reconstruction is underway.

The road was closed for more than an hour as the scene was cleared.
