A rural health consultant for the VA will be in Rhinelander today to talk to veterans about healthcare.
Mary Kay Campbell will be doing a complete rural health needs assessment to ensure the services provided by the facilities including Rhinelander and Iron Mountain, are meeting the needs of rural veterans.
Campbell will be available to talk to veterans from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the County Board Room on the second floor of the Oneida County Courthouse.
In between those two sessions, she will be at the VA Clinic in Rhinelander to talk to veterans as well. She wants to talk with veterans who are in the VA healthcare system as well as those who are not. Her goal is to identify areas for improvement to provide optimum care and also identify why veterans who currently do not use VA healthcare choose to get care elsewhere.
No appointment is necessary. If you’d like to talk with her, you can show up at your convenience either at the courthouse or at the VA Clinic.
