Veterans from across the state will attend a special ceremony this morning at the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home at King.
At the ceremony they will unveil a new Medal of Honor Monument. Family members of Tomahawk resident and Medal of Honor recipient Einar Ingman will be on hand for the event. Ingman is one of 5 surviving recipients from Wisconsin.
The Monument was announced this spring in recognition of the sixty-two Wisconsin servicemen who went above and beyond the call of duty and have received the Medal of Honor.
The ceremony will begin at 11 this morning at the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home just outside of Waupaca. The keynote speaker will be Gary Wetzel, another recipient of a medal of honor from his service in the Vietnam War.
