Tomahawk Firefighters responded to a grass fire over the weekend in the Town of Tomahawk.

At just after 2:00pm Saturday, a 911 call reported the fire on Faust Road. Fire crews had the fire extinguished quickly. Around 100 yards of grass had been burned.

Firefighters reported the fire started after sparks came from a burn barrel that had rusted out. The information will be forwarded to the DNR fire ranger for possible enforcement action.
