The Northwoods Riders Snowmobile Club will be sponsoring a Snowmobile Safety Class next week in Nokomis.

The course, at Nokomis Town Hall, will be next Thursday and Friday nights from 6-9pm and then Saturday morning from 8-noon. Students must be at least 11 years old, but their certificate doesn’t become valid until they turn 12.

Students must attend all 3 classes, and there will be a test the final day. Students also need to obtain a DNR customer service number prior to the class.

A parent must accompany the student on the first night for registration and to sign a consent form. There is NO per-registration. We will accept 40 students. The DNR charges a $10 fee for the class, however, the Northwoods Riders Snowmobile Club is picking up the cost of the class.
