The state is taking the first steps in replacing the retiring Sheriff of Oneida County.
Yesterday Governor Scott Walker announced he is seeking applicants for the Oneida County position. The appointment will fill the vacancy created by the upcoming retirement of current Sheriff Jeffrey Hoffman.
Hoffman announced his retirement earlier this month. His last day is expected in the beginning of December.
Those interested in the position can apply or find more information through Governor Walker’s website by no later than December 14th. The new sheriff will begin serving upon appointment and will complete Hoffman’s term through 2014.
