A traffic stop in Merrill Sunday evening has lead to three arrests on a series of drug related offenses.
A Merrill Police officer originally stopped the car for a license plate not associated with the vehicle. The driver, later identified as 23 year old Cassiopeia Conlin, produced a false name. She was initially taken in on 2 outstanding warrants.
A K-9 unit gave a positive indication of drugs in the vehicle and a subsequent search revealed large amounts of methamphetamine, heroin, and LSD according to police. The vehicle was impounded and a later search revealed a hidden storage compartment with more methamphetamine. In all, approximately 84 grams of the drug were recovered.
Two other occupants in the vehicle, 38 year old Jimmie Joannon of Merrill and 49 year old Danny Hanson of Wausau were also arrested.
The three will be charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, LSD and heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of controlled substances.
