One person has died and another injured in a Rhinelander fire.

Crews were called to the fire at a residence on Maple Street in the city of Rhinelander yesterday morning at just after 10:30. Upon arrival, one person was trapped inside the building and another outside.

As a result of the fire, one person was transported to Ministry St. Mary’s hospital with unknown injuries. The other person was later pronounced dead.

The individuals names are currently being withheld.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
