Even law enforcement isn’t immune to bad roads.
A Lincoln County deputy was injured following a single vehicle crash Sunday morning in the Town of Birch.
The deputy was operating the marked patrol vehicle on Copper Lake Avenue near Loop Road when the vehicle slid on some slush while rounding a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled into the ditch.
The deputy was transported by another squad car to Ministry Good Samaritan where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
Elsewhere in the state, on Saturday a Coloma Police vehicle hydroplaned off the road and struck a utility pole while turning the vehicle to pursue a speeding vehicle.
