A Merrill woman facing multiple charges following a fatal car crash appeared in court yesterday.

Judge Jay Tlusty ruled that there is enough evidence to bound Twenty five year old Ashley Baumann over for trial. She appeared in Lincoln County Court for her preliminary hearing yesterday afternoon.

Baumann has been charged with 9 felonies including 2 each for homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, homicide by use of a vehicle with a prohibited alcohol content and homicide by negligent use of a vehicle.

She was allegedly driving the vehicle intoxicated when it crashed in Merrill leaving two women dead and another injured.

Baumann’s next scheduled court appearance will be January 8 for an arraignment.
