Fire crews quickly responded to a chimney fire sparing the home in Lincoln County from further damage.

The town of Pine River Fire Department responded early yesterday morning to the 911 call at a residence in the 2000 block of Pat Smith Lane. The report of a chimney fire came in at just after 6 yesterday morning.

Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour. They said the fire was contained to the chimney and there was no damage to the home. No injuries were reported.
