The Governor will be in North Central Wisconsin today, “Mining for Jobs.”

This afternoon, Governor Scott Walker will participate in the event at L & S Electric, Inc. in Schofield. During the visit, Governor Walker and area legislators will highlight the importance of mining in Wisconsin with the employees.

When the legislative session begins next month, the Republican-controlled state legislature is expected to once again introduce a bill aimed at streamlining the mining permit process.

Today’s Schofield event is the middle of three stop’s, which also include Green Bay and Milwaukee.
