Papers Due Today

One final reminder that anyone who took out nomination papers for this spring’s elections, they must be turned in by today’s 5:00pm deadline.

GAB officials have scheduled the primary for Feb. 19 and the general election for April 2. Several statewide positions including Supreme Court Justice will be on the ballot plus some municipal positions.

Note from Town of King

And a note from the Town of King, nomination papers that were handed out or mailed by the clerk did not contain the instruction sheets and all the necessary forms in order for candidates to be placed on the ballot.

They say it is important to contact the Town of King Clerk before today’s 5:00pm deadline to ensure that nomination papers have been correctly completed and filled out. The number for the town of King Clerk is 453-4883.

City of Tomahawk Community Development Authority

The city of Tomahawk Community Development Authority continues to take shape as they will hold their second meeting this morning.

At today’s meeting, the members will hold their election of officers. In addition to the election of officers at today’s meeting, the Authority will also discuss blighted areas and properties. Today’s meeting will be at city hall in the council chambers beginning at 8.

Two weeks ago, the authority held its inaugural meeting. The seven members were introduced at that meeting as well as an overview of Community Development Authority.

Other Meetings

The Merrill Parks and Recreation Commission will meet on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at 6:00 pm., at the Merrill City Hall. In addition to a public hearing on the recreations plan through 2018, their agenda also includes Discussion of Dog Park development project.
