As the new legislative session gets underway in Madison, committee assignments were also given to our two area representatives. Taking the oath of office Monday were Senator Tom Tiffany and Assemblywoman Mary Czaja.
In the Senate, Tiffany will be chairing the Senate Committee on Workforce Development, Forestry, Mining and Revenue. In addition, he will be serving on the Committee on Agriculture, Small Business and Tourism, the Committee on Natural Resources, the Joint Committee of Review of Administrative Rules and the Joint Survey Committee on Tax Exemptions.
Czaja has been named Vice-Chair of the Committee on Aging and Long Term Care. She will also serve as a member of the following committees: Environment and Forestry; Insurance; Small Business Development; and Tourism Committees.
Tiffany took over the seat formerly held by Jim Holperin who decided not to run. Czaja then took over Tiffany’s assembly seat.
