A former Antigo principal facing drug charges has likely reached a plea deal prior to trial.
The trial for John Lund was set to begin today with jury selection. The four day trial has since been changed to a plea hearing in the court records.
Lund was facing 7 felonies including possession of THC with intent to deliver, manufacturing THC and maintaining a drug trafficking place. He faced up to 20 years in prison on those charges if convicted.
The 48 year old was arrested as part of a larger investigation that affected the Antigo and Merrill School Districts with charges against multiple teachers and coaches. In addition to being an elementary principal, Lund also served as the head football coach at Antigo High School.
The plea hearing in Langlade County Court begins this morning at 9.
