Nicolet College has now opened registration for their annual Direct Care Givers Conference next month.
This is the 7th events, hosted by the Northern Wisconsin Long Term Care Workforce Network. They say the conference provides an excellent opportunity for caregivers to receive continuing education in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
Featured speaker will be Mildred “Tinker” Schuman, a Lac du Flambeau Tribal Elder, teacher, poet and author. She’ll giver her presentation Ojibwe Elders and Teachers, while discussing ways to develop cultural and spiritual sensitivity and caring.
In addition to the continuing education, there will be a special awards luncheon recognizing caregiver excellence.
The day long event is on Friday, February 15, and participants will receive up to 4.5 hours of continuing education. There is an early bird registration discount, for those enrolling by the end of January. To register call Nicolet College at 715-365-4493.
