City of Tomahawk Police Department Reports

An area bank reported a counterfeit $20 bill. The money came in a deposit from a Tomahawk business.

A woman reported multiple items stolen from her vehicle, which was parked on W. Wisconsin Avenue. Items stolen include electronics, clothing and a purse. An officer is investigating.

Police received a report of a possibly impaired driver that was coming into town. The officer located the vehicle. The man said he was having trouble with his eyes and had struck a deer. The officer advised the man that he shouldn’t be driving. He parked the car and the man was given a ride to a Tomahawk business to be picked up by a relative.

Someone reported a van that struck a tree on South 4th Street near West Merrill Avenue. When the officer arrived multiple people were in the area at the time. After determining the driver, she was given a field sobriety test. The 36 year old was cited for operating while intoxicated, no insurance and failure to report a crash.

A person called reporting a man throwing things around a home and yelling at the reporting party. When the officer responded, the suspect would not comply. The officer used a TASER on the man. He was brought to the hospital to be cleared and eventually transferred to the Lincoln County Jail. The 24 year old will be charged with domestic disorderly conduct, battery to a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
