Deputies are considering action against a bus driver who left the roadway.

The school bus, carrying only adults went into the ditch early Wednesday morning on Highway 8 near Hwy 51. The 73 year old driver told the responding deputy that the tire on the bus blew out causing him to leave the roadway.

Passengers on the bus gave conflicting reports. They told the deputy the driver fell asleep and when they yelled to wake him, he left the roadway.

No one was injured in the crash. Deputies will await statement forms before deciding action against the Stevens Point man.
