The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office made several arrests late last week involving multiple strings of burglaries.
Earlier in the week a concerned citizen observed a suspicious vehicle parked on Neptune Lake Road in the town of Monico. The citizen believed to hear glass breaking and obtained the license plate number.
Deputies investigated and discovered 9 burglaries the past month in Monico were likely related. As a result of the investigation a 17 and a 15 year old male were arrested for various crimes including burglary, theft and criminal damage to property. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected. New Sheriff Grady Hartman commended the citizen report of suspicious activity in assisting the apprehension.
Meanwhile, the Sheriff’s office had also been separately investigating 9 residential burglaries on Acorn Lane and Clear Lake Road in the Town of Cassian in the late fall.
As a result of that investigation 28 year old Peter Schultz Jr. of Red Granite was taken into custody. He is being held on burglary related charges. Multiple agencies aided in his apprehension.
