An Illinois man was arrested following an incident in a vehicle on Highway 51 in Lincoln County last week.
The victim called 911 at just after 9pm regarding the incident. The woman said that the driver of the vehicle was swerving all over the roadway. He then took her cell phone and threw it out the window. The 36 year old slowed the vehicle so she could retrieve the phone, but as she opened the door he shoved her out of the vehicle and left.
As Deputies spoke to the victim, the man returned to the scene. He was placed through field sobriety tests and eventually taken into custody on a third offense charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was taken to the jail, also charged him with disorderly conduct, intimidation of a victim, and probation violation. At a bond hearing on, the suspect was released on a signature bond.
