Unfortunately for a dog rescued after being left outside in freezing conditions, his story not have a happy ending.
The Lincoln County Humane Society says on their website that the dog named Scout was recently put down. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department were alerted to the dog which was left tied to a highway marker two week ago on one of the coldest mornings of the winter.
After Scout’s experiences, he was simply too aggressive to be considered safe for adoption. Scout was being fostered with a family that has more than 20 years experience working with dogs and he could not overcome his inclination to bite, especially when men were near him.
