A Vilas County cabin suffered extensive damage after a fire yesterday afternoon.

Crews from the Plum Lake Fire Department responded to the structure fire on County Highway K in the Township of Plum Lake at just after 4:00pm yesterday. The structure was fully involved when initial crews arrived; several other units assisted in extinguishing the flames.

The residence was seasonal, and it was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

The Vilas County Sheriff’s Department says the cabin is considered a complete loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
