Trout fishers from Northern and Central Wisconsin will have the chance to weigh this weekend.
The state Department of Natural Resources is set to convene the first meeting of a new citizen trout management task force. The DNR created the task force as part of a review of inland trout fishing management.
The group is comprised of around 40 people from around the state representing the Conservation Congress, conservation organizations and businesses with an interest in trout fishing.
Officials want the task force to help set management goals using data gathered from angler surveys and comments from public hearings.
The meeting is set for Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
