A Medford man was arrested on setting fire to a business he operated.
On Saturday morning, several Medford area fire departments responded to the fire at the Main Street Convenience Store. A police officer noticed smoke coming from the building.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it could spread to neighboring businesses. Those businesses did suffer some smoke and water damage.
On Monday, 35 year old David J. Johnson was arrested by Medford Police on One Count of Arson of a Building, a felony. Johnson ran Main Street Convenience Store. He remainded in the Taylor County Jail as of yesterday. He has upcoming court appearances scheduled for early March on previous charges he faced.
