Firefighters in Marathon County responded to a pair of structure fires yesterday.

The first occurred at a home in the town of Frankfurt. Crews from Colby and Abbotsford responded at just before 5 yesterday morning. Officials believe the fire began in a wood burning furnace and quickly spread due to the winds.

No one was injured in that fire, but it is considered a complete loss.

Last night crews in the Wausau area responded to a fire on Park Avenue. That home was recently condemned and officials do not believe anyone was inside.
