The Rhinelander High School Drama Department is continuing their Spring Production this weekend. This season, the student actor’s are performing “Cyrano and Roxanne.”
In this retelling of Edmond Rostand’s play, “Cyrano de Bergerac,” Roxanne is smitten by the superficial charms of a handsome young soldier, Christian. Meanwhile, Roxanne is oblivious to the love childhood friend Cyrano feels for her. Cyrano and his rival Christian form a strange alliance in order to win Roxanne’s heart.
Director Kristin Larsen promises something for everyone. “The play is funny, touching and romantic. Plus there’s even a little swordplay involved! It’s a great version of the classic story”.
Kiah Sexton stars as Roxanne, with Ryan Lieck as Cyrano and Aaron Bowen as Christian.
Performance dates for “Cyrano And Roxanne” will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7pm, with a Sunday matinee on March 3rd at 1pm, at the Rhinelander High School Auditorium.
General admission tickets will be available at the door for five dollars.
