The Saint Mary’s Hospital Foundation recently got a significant donation from the Volunteers of Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital.
The donation provided by the Volunteers was for $30,000. They provide many services on the campus including operating the gift shop and conducting various fundraisers throughout the community.
President of the Volunteers, Dorothy Weiler says, “We are very proud of our medical care at Ministry Saint Mary’s and we want to do what we can to help our patients and staff.”
In recent years those donations were used to purchase new lab and cardiac rehabilitation equipment, refurnish a waiting room in the ICU and purchase mobile fetal monitors. Plans for this year’s donation included enhancements to the hospital’s birthing center.
Ryan Hetland, vice-chair of the SMH Foundation talked about how the Foundation and volunteers work together to improve health care. He went on to say, “we appreciate all that the volunteers do with their time and monetary donations.
