Officials from Marathon County say that a man was found dead in Rib Mountain State Park yesterday.

Two snowshoers in the park came across the body of the man, who was also believed to be snowshoeing. His body was discovered at just before 7:00pm.

The victim’s identity has not be released. The 49 year old was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Officials continue to investigate the man’s death, but foul play is not suspected.
