Officers looked into a complaint about harassing messages both on Facebook and through text. The messages began last weekend and continued into the start of the week. After looking into the case, the officer determined that both parties were participating in the messaging. Those involved were advised to leave each other alone.
Officers received a report of a man waving a weapon in the North Bay Plaza parking lot, then in the employee lot behind the buildings. Officers could not locate the man at the time. It was later determined that the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has received multiple prank calls from the same number and were unable to trace it.
Police were called to an area business regarding a disorderly conduct complaint. An employee said the 60 year old man would not leave the store, despite being asked to. When the officer arrived, the man left without incident.
A 50 year old man was taken into custody after a traffic stop on North 4th street in the overnight hours Wednesday. The man was transferred to Lincoln County jail for violating his supervision. He also received citations for operating while revoked and operating without insurance. He received a warning for a loud/defective exhaust on the vehicle.
Dispatch received a report of a man passed out in a snowbank north of town. The caller then said the man was intoxicated but coherent. A ride was arranged to an area motel. Police then received a call from the motel stating the man was sleeping on a couch in the lobby. The officer responded and escorted the man to his room.
