City of Tomahawk Police Department Reports

Reports called in Monday revealed that spring has arrived in the Northwoods, and it wasn’t an April Fool’s prank. During the late afternoon and early evening hours there were multiple sightings of a small black bear cub moving about throughout the city. The bear was spotted on South Tomahawk Avenue, towards Bradley Park, North Tomahawk Avenue and out towards West Leather Avenue.

A Tomahawk resident filed a complaint about the length of time waiting for the train to pass on South Tomahawk. The man said it was third recent instance where the wait was more than 12 minutes.

Officers are investigating a burglary on Theiler Drive. The victim reported that tools and ice fishing equipment was taken from his garage.

An 18 year old was taken into custody on a probation hold. The teen was than transported to the Lincoln County Jail.

Officers and Tomahawk fire responded to a kitchen fire on West Wisconsin Avenue Wednesday. The call came in at around 6:30. The fire occurred in the stove and was quickly extinguished. Reports indicated that there was heavy smoke damage in the residence. There were no injuries reported.
