A Northwoods Shelter just received a significant donations from an anonymous donor.
That gift to the Northwoods Alliance for Temporary Housing was announced at $25,000.
The donor, who wished to remain anonymous, previously had the opportunity to tour Frederick Place and also meet with NATH Board President Bill Miller.
Executive director Tammy Modic said of the donation,“We hope that this wonderful example of supporting local programs for those in need will inspire other individuals, businesses, and organizations.”
And while most do not have the resources to contribute a monetary donation of this size, there are still several ways to support the continued operation of Frederick Place Homeless Shelter. These include: provide an evening meal for residents; donate items from the “Wish List”; donate a small amount monthly; volunteer at the shelter; or volunteer to transport residents to appointments.
Annual operating costs for Frederick Place are projected to be $205,000.00 per year. These costs include twenty-four hour staffing, case management, utilities, insurance, food, supplies, and maintenance.
