A 34 year old Merrill woman was arrested last Monday afternoon on a warrant charge. The Deputy assigned to Courthouse security arrested the woman after she appeared in court on another matter. She was wanted on a warrant through the Wood County Sheriff for failing to report to jail. She was brought to the Lincoln County Jail and held.

A 46 year old Tomahawk man was arrested late Wednesday night on a criminal traffic charge. A Deputy stopped a vehicle on US Hwy 51 at State Rd 64 after he observed it traveling all over the roadway. As a result of field sobriety tests, the driver was taken into custody on a second offense charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. The man was also cited for operating with a revoked driver’s license before being released to a responsible party.

Tomahawk Firefighters along with a Deputy and a Tomahawk Police Officer all investigated after a transformer caught fire Thursday morning on County Rd A near County Rd U. When firefighters and law enforcement arrived on the scene the fire was out and Wisconsin Public Service was tending to the problem.

A 36 year old Merrill man was arrested Thursday afternoon after Deputies responded to a disturbance in the Town of Harding. A 911 call reported that a male had damaged a door during a dispute. The suspect had fled when Deputies arrived but they found him a short time later walking on County Rd E. He was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and two felony counts of bail jumping after he violated terms of two open felony cases. The man was brought to the jail and was released on a signature bond the following day after a bond hearing.
