The Tomahawk community could be getting a new retail store in the near future.
On Tuesday’s Planning and Zoning Commission agenda is the proposal for a Shopko Hometown store. The proposed site would sit at 1808 N. 4th Street. This is a lot on the northern portion of town, just beyond Highway A.
The site plan includes an optical center and a drive-thru pharmacy. The building is 35,700 square feet. According to their website, Shopko Hometowns were first established in 2010, aimed at communities between 3,000-8,000 people. As of the start of the year, the Green Bay area based company has more than 300 Shopko facilities.
In addition to the building, two additional city streets have been proposed to get to that site.
The new facility will appear on Tuesday morning’s Planning and Zoning Commission. The meeting starts at 8 at City Hall.
