Law enforcement officials spent a large portion of the weekend dealing with vehicle issues due to the weather.
Problems began with the snowfall Thursday afternoon when a man rolled his vehicle in the Town of Corning. He was uninjured.
On Friday afternoon a Merrill woman was sent to the hospital after being struck by a grader in the Town of Russell. The grader backed onto County Rd. J and struck the oncoming vehicle. The woman was treated and released.
A 34 year old was arrested after his vehicle went into the ditch along highway 51. The man was wanted on several warrants through Brown County. He was brought to jail where he was asked to perform a field sobriety test. He was also cited for a second OWI.
Between Thursday afternoon with the snowfall and last night’s ice, Lincoln County Deputies investigated 24 vehicles in the ditch with 7 property damage crashes.
